WTB 1x11 or 2x11 hydro shifters/brakes. Mineral oil I ain’t fuckin with DOT
@quilbert420 has an apex set I think
Edit I am moron, no DOT
nah i sold the group
I have some Shimano RS-505 shifters, i.e. the ugliest shifter Shimano has ever made. They came off my wife’s bike a couple of years ago. How about like $80 including shipping?
I think they are still attached to calipers but those may have been leaky and thus put into the trash.
I could probably be talked out of my current grx groupset. 1x11 hydro with the left shifter making the seat post go up down.
I also have a set of rs505 jawns with questionable calipers. Green aftermarket hoses. 2x11
PM brakes?
Flat. Currently on my Mone El Continente using flat-to-iso adapters.
Do those work well? I always kinda thought they sucked but have no first hand experience
I need brakes too! Stopping almost as important as going
I had no problems with the 505s for the couple years I used them but they were put away all dirty and gross when I took them off the bike. They’re still attached to a set of 46cm Cowbell bars if you want those too.
I let a shop install everything so i can’t speak to how much they suck to set up but everything seems to stop as it should and they don’t look that stupid.
I ended up finding something thanks
Ok now I need:
-flat mount to PM adapters (the bike actually has PM not ISO).
-FD band clamp adapter
-brooks c17 w/ cutout (I have an orange no cut out id trade?)
-2x11 crankset or some 2x chainrings to fit in a 5 bolt megaexo crank arms (50/34 or lower)
-11s wide range cassette for a 2x. Like 11-34 or 11-36
-pair 700x45ish road/light gravel tires
-fork cargo cages
I’ve got compact rings for ya, I’ll dig for a cassette.
You might want to confirm fitment of these on your frame as they don’t work in all cases. Plus, they are generally quite costly in comparison to your typical brake adapters. Better route might be finding some cheap PM calipers.
Damnit really? Everyone told me flat to PM is fine. Ugh.
Now looking for: post mount hydro calipers to pair with Shimano R7000 levers.
Going the other direction, FM frame to PM caliper is fine, if really ugly. Look at the diagram on this page to see where you need to check for clearances.
They are also a mandatory +20mm rotor size from the frame’s native size, which isn’t great in some cases.
Yeah id have to get new rotors and those adapters. Buying some PM hydro calipers is cheaper
i need a boost front 29er mtb wheel, preferably a 35mm od carbon hoop.
Nevermind I got one.
