search the hoard: new wanted/looking for thread

I will check tonight, I have a few things but I’m not sure if its 11s or 10s. Also unsure of how much of a full grouppo of anything I have but I’ll let you know.

PS if you buy those carbon Whiskey Milhouse bars and want to sell the Cannondales back to me give a holler.

Anyone got some CX-50 cantis?

NVM Just bought new

I might do that, ended up copping the Milhouses but haven’t assembled anything. did you come across any drivetrain stuff?

confirmed the skeleton is 135 qr rear and 110/15 front

No joy on drivetrain stuff.

How big of a cassette are you wanting to run? 1x or more? I might have something in my bin depending on your answers.

I had planned to run 1x but haven’t gotten as far as planning actual sizes— comfortable using a small ring and cassette if needed

Looks like all I’ve got is a long cage Deore M592 (9 spd) or a Zee M640 (10 spd), both new and max out at a 36T big cog.

Tis for a Jack Taylor so close enough. But let me know details anyways cause I don’t think my current one is usable at all.

I has, at leas the important bits if not a full kit.

  1. really nice Precision Tandems cnc aluminum bracket/BB shell, (of which they have utter shite pictures on their website).
  2. short armed kid cranks with single chainring, black.
  3. one seat tube shim

I’ll have to look and see if I have a second chainring that mounts to your existing stoker crank. I have one stock shim and one 3d printed shim and if you let me know your seat tube diameter I could 3d print another one in the right size for you to use it.

FYI Kalloy (and others) make vintage type straight aluminum seat posts that could use your existing old-style steel saddle rail clamps. That might be a good solution to the stoker stem issue to get you started?

So the stoker seatpole is 26.4 and has a “4 rail” suspension saddle type clamp so I think I want to replace this entirely since no modern saddles will fit. If nothing comes up used a decent Kalloy is only $20.

The pilot seatpole is either 26.0 or 26.2. It’s not marked and my calipers suck. But the issue with the integrated stoker stem is that it isn’t height adjustable and none of my modern saddles seem to be able to fit without interference with the stoker stem. I have to tilt them real far nose down. A Kalloy seatpole is only $20 but stoker stems seem $$$.

As for the kid back that sounds cool not sure exactly what I need. I know the 26.4 seatpost is important to know and then I’ve got a TA triple crankset on there already.

I’ll get some pics of exactly what I have and get back to you.

Anyone have an old chain waxing setup they have lying around and no longer use?

Feels weird purchasing a new single function item

I sous vide my wax

I’ve got some crankarm shorteners in the parts bin, worked good for us when WJ was 4’ ish

I have one, may be available but I gotta fit my kid on the bike first to see if I need it.

Thrift store crock pot?
