I didn’t notice anything in the About of FAQ about waiting to post in the marketplace, but I’ll stick to the community forums. This comment just popped up in my search results when I Googled “Grand Randoneur Townie” so I just thought I’d make an account and ask about it.
I did post my late bike in the Nu person thread though.

Hey , let me know how you like the Grand Rando as a townie. I am in the market for a new commuter bike (Soma Double Cross just got stolen), and was thinking about building a G.R. with moustache-style bars and a nice front rack. Curious to how it feels with the slack geometry.
I haven’t gotten it built up as a townie yet but I actually just got back in the house from mocking up some parts. I know one of the messbros around here uses one for work with a huge front rack, seems fine.

So this is happening. I don’t have a ton of plans for this bike other than “rad basket townie”, therefore I am officially requesting input from Tarck Consulting LLC re: “what would tarck do.”
Probably going to end up with v-brakes of some sort, as these rims are a tad wide for the cantis and, you know. Has dyno. I have some chrome fenders that I may or may not use.
