dang I bought the “Schwalbe Pro One, V-Guard, TLE, Addix (2020) – 30mm” for my ENVE rims but haven’t mounted them yet as the frame still ain’t built
wacky that the 25mm GP5000 is on the list, but the 28mm is banned
would be interested to try the newer bigger radder Vittoria tires — I had the 25mm Corsa Speed time trial lambskin tires which were supple beyond belief and predictably got cut in a blameless sort of way
in ten years of riding road tubeless I’ve still never tried IRC, their distribution was nonexistent for so long
I saw a cutaway of enve tubeless that had super tall bead walls. Is that maybe the issue?
GP5000 32 Tubeless
IRC and Maxxis both make sand racing tires that I’ve been sort of curious about
Not sure what the specs are on the bead walls
and I really only want to try tires that are on the approved list, for now.
Yeah this one is real interesting, but too big for him:
the smaller ones all seem overbuilt?
Oh it’s hookless. That might have been the thing I was thinking about,
PeeVeeDee likes em: http://www.peterverdone.com/fiftyfifty-tires/
I like them less now.
who is this person and why do i already hate him?
How have you missed PVD for all this time? He’s the worst but in a sort of interesting, hypergraphia kind of way.
luck i guess
I got new runny arse tires. They are way undersized on rhynolites. should I expect them to stretch out at all?
I’ve had a couple pairs of “compass” tires and they did stretch, but not much.
I haven’t been disappointed though.
It’s just that I have 38mm tires on 27mm rims and 44mm tires on 27mm rims and they all measure 39mm. One compass, one runny arse.
I had been hoping to have one bike with somewhat wider tires that the other
The RTP’s were always smaller advertised-size-ways, but they get a little bigger. Nothing like a real size tho. Not sure if they are still that way.
you expect a man who measures tires like this to ever hit the mark? Dude would fail outta his first semester of applied tech courses with this shit
The trick is; 1500 words about why that’s the best way to measure and why their tire sizing scheme is better than everyone elses.
It’s almost as if he should just get a digital caliper so his fan base doesn’t need to figure out how an analog caliper works.
Or maybe that’s the gag? What they don’t know won’t hurt them?
