Souplesse Casings and Bike Soup - The Tire Thread

Is the Terreno Mix (TR3309) any good? I want more grip on my CX bike.

Is this tire as good as the Terreno Dry?

I still feel like this thing has got some life left in it. What is wrong with me and can you all shame me into changing this tire for the new one I’ve had on hand for the last 6 months.

Corners are the good part

I don’t do shame but it’s time for a new tire bud

Just put the new tire on, goddamn

And he can barely make them with that tire.

I just picked up some Continental tires to try out, since people seem to be loving them. Good price on DH casing bois.
But also have some enduro casing tires, too. Could say fuck the man and go Argotal front, Kryptotal front on the rear. Two dope tires for about $45 each and free shipping. SNOWALERT saves you $10, too.
Will try them when tires wear out next, though may just throw some on the stumpy evo just coz if I want some heavier tires, lol.

There’s some side knob left!

I have some Contis waiting in the stash too lol.

New Minions on my smaller bike did kind of feel like magic when turning. Maybe I’ve slow-boiled myself on the worn out tires and forgot what side knobs are supposed to feel like.

You definitely did. I remember when I replaced them on my Jekyll. Holy shit, was grip for days when you wanted it.

anything else at the top of the heap for average dry gravel stuff other than gravelking SK?

Or take a free set off my hands.

I have been loving my Conti Terraspeed both in 35 and now in 40.

Maxxis Ramblers are kind of my go to. I’ve been riding IRC Bokens and they’re fine. But these are still on sale so there’s no reason not to.

You got 650b ones? I mean heck yeah I will.

700x36

I’d take some 700x36 tires since crusty probably doesn’t need that size. Coffeegrinder could use some new rubber.

Presuming he takes a pass, put your address in my DMs.

Ramblers are fast. Gravelking SKs are slow but very robust in my experience. In 43 mm size-ways at least.

No need for those. Have at 'em! Thanks for the offer @halbritt

Wtf brand new Surly Knard blew off the rim on my way to work today and set off a chain of events that fucked my whole day. Hopefully I’ll be able to warranty that shit
