Patch it on the inside and run a Ridenow ?

I thought it was stitching them with dental floss then booting the inside.

You’re going to feel any boot that’s gonna hold that sidewall at road pressure.

Certainly done that on a RunnyArse one of mine. Floss and a patch.

I patched a bigger hole in a runny arse tire that held for the better part of a year. Glued a big piece of tube (with vulcanizing glue) to the inside of the tire.

I ordered irc bokens. If they don’t come by Saturday, I might look into I’ll-advised repairs

Kenda has a tire sale with rotating models… right now there’s a 700x32 Small Block 8 for $10:

Used parts place near me has a pair of unused-looking Bontrager XR-Mud Team Issue in…29x2.0. It’s so weird to 1) see mud tires here in the desert, where we very much have a culture of not riding when it’s sloppy out as it destroys the trails. 2) such a skinny size, which I understand for an XC race tire but still…

If anyone has a use for these holler, I think they were asking $25 per tire.

I think muds are usually thinner so that the knobs can be longer.

These were supposed to have shipped mid June:

Guess they’re on the slow boat.

BRR review was pretty good. Best wet grip on the market:

Slightly faster than Challenge Strada Bianca in 36mm, slightly slower than the 32mm GP5000 S TR I’m running now.

I also think mud tires are skinnier so they can cut through the mud better to get to solid ground.

God I fucking hate bike tire sizing. I bought pirelli 28s for this old steel road bike. They didn’t fit (tight fork clearance). I bought IRC 25s to replace them. Stupidly undersized. Caliper says 28s are 29.5 and the 25s are 24. Fuck these bike tire manufacturers.

I got these in 650x42. They’re fine, pretty much what one would expect at the weight and tread. I wouldn’t say any better than WTB. They’re fine. Less nice than the Challenge but feels safer for a utilitarian bike.

When you get a chance could I get an actual measurement on those?

I’m getting about 47mm on i30 rims. (Pub rims are slightly too wide for use case but idc.)

DQ: What’s available to purchase in a 700x38 slick, black sidewalls, not RH/HTLR money?

Strada Bianca (non-pro) or Gravelking slick or something else?

Terreno zero? But you should go with Strada Biancas.

Does this bother me? They are not losing air.
