Souplesse Casings and Bike Soup - The Tire Thread

They are heavy because they put rubber everywhere for looks reasons. I am shocked they still exist.

in the year of our l*rd 2025, what 26" tire do I want to commute on (with tubes)

No idea, but these look cool.

Is the Schwalbe ‘Tacky Chan’ a new tire, or is it older? I can’t believe they haven’t gotten more flack for that name.

It is a couple of years old at this point. Developed as rear DH tire largely.

ok so i’ve been spending the last hour scraping out all the old sealant from these tires and i just realized that they are not marked tubeless.

i dug through my old emails to find the reciept and it’s

which definitely does not cross reference to the tubeless version of these tires

i’ve ridden them, set up tubeless, up and down several actual dangerous mountain pass roads, what in the god damn.

Continental Speed Kings black chili 2.2". Crazy fast.

I commuted on the RH rat trap pass for a few years. About as fast as you can expect with a 26" tire.

Does anyone have any beta on when the 2.4" Continental Race King black chili are coming out?

Even if it does “come out” it might be a while before it hits the market.

I ordered some Continental GP 5000 AS TR in 35mm with the “cream wall” on 4/23/2023.

They shipped today.

Two years for tires to ship? That has to be some kind of record.

I can’t believe you waited it out. I recall your first posts about them.

i can’t believe they didn’t cancel the order.
