TAF, JA, or just WTH?

Scrolling through the Radavist gallery of pros, and their bikes, suddenly there’s a random sidewall shot of a Rene Herse slick on a rim brake rim. My first though was what masochist was on rim brakes and slicks for the 200? Serendipity that Jan on the XL was around the same time as the pro finishers so we can see his bike in candid form. It loses much elegance with the incomplete fenders.

I didn’t think this looked that odd. The toontown tires make everything wonky, looking closer I can’t tell if the stem in 120 o 150?

Interesting contrast to the ultra-French fit on Anton Krupicka’s bikes. I’ve had some oversize bikes but never quite like this.

The masochism of riding with a down tube shifter and stick shift pusher for 350 miles.

but the rear fenderlette lets him front shift and keep mud off his glove’s terry nose wiper

Why would you subject yourself to those cantis in 2022? Has to be an aesthetic thing.

I’ve been thinking about going mad with french fit on a custom drop bar disc brake bike

is this the reenactment crü version of the mtb fork mudguard?

also chuckling at how great all of those shiny silver parts look after the bike has been ridden in an event.

if a frame that’s too big is French fit, what do you call a frame that’s too small?

I enjoy how they use caps-lock ANY in the headline and immediately negate that in the very first sentence.
