i sold my old cross check for that much. Couldn’t believe it. I guess they are a lot rarer up here and it had somewhat better parts but not really. The teenager who bought it rode it to the mexico border so that’s cool.

Yeah, the version with the cutouts near the pedal spindle were known to fail. The new version only has the cutouts in the middle of the crankarm.

The tall bike my college roommate built with a piece of futon frame for the head tube extension had worse welding
But somehow I think this one will break more easily
