As I started looking at the saddle and moving down the seat tube, I thought “that bike really could use a Sante group” and lo and behold.

My cousins was reversed, the dark part was on the lower half of the frame. No colours, just faint white spots on a matt dark grey background. Those Chapter bikes are NZ “made” but I don’t think I have ever seen anyone riding one IRL.
