There’s plenty of local ciders available, for any taste and budget (as long as that budget is at least microbrew $).They might not be in a local corner store, but they out there.

I think y’all entirely misunderstood me. I was saying that cider losing shelf space to seltzer wasn’t a huge problem because a lot of the cider on the shelf is crap that I wouldn’t ever drink. There’s lots of cider out there. Some of it is good.

Most are totally unpalatable to me for this reason. It’s no wonder that White Claw was able to capture the market of people who don’t like or can’t drink beer, because prior to that, the primary canned and bottled beverage tasted like Hi-C

Millstone in Monkton, MD has some awesome cider and mead offerings. A lot of the ciders are actually quite tart, a nice differentiation to the ciders that I’ve had in the past.
