The New New Guy Thread. Your first post goes here. Seriously.

reminds me of this in a pleasant way

Are you supposed to look at it in 3d glasses?

I also don’t mind the paintjerbs in cinellis too much. Kind of into em, despite the strong vibe of jackassery surrounding the brand now.

i like the paint detail under the bb. the rest, not so much. and tc: i had no ideal cinelli made more than dozen different frames

tarck is about thread derailment

double

Hey dudes. I posted back in the split-from-bikeforums days and had a “gotta sell all my bikes to live” type crisis, but I’m back at it now. I like how the general attitude of this place has changed. Everybody seems pretty far past fixiebro posturing.

Got this not too long ago from a dude who raced it for a couple seasons. It’s a gary fisher branded poprad, and I love it. I just have to make it into a proper yolobike (nice tires, real front gears, mini-vs, gotta ditch the tubeless-converted wagon wheels and get some proper wide section rims). Plus I gotta fix some fit issues.

Don’t haze me too hard. Hopefully my dumb bike won’t shut the new thread down.

'sup Poprad bro.

'Sup. Wish mine was orange too. The paint on mine is pretty beat so I gotta figure something out there. I would leave it beausĂĄged if not for the awful branding everywhere.

Steel is nice enough to justify powder.

Nothing new here. Swapped gruppos yesterday. Something I’ve been meaning to do for years

Does it actually say Poprad on the frame, or is it a Presidio or whatever?

Long-time lurker, but chatting with Fred last week convinced me to make an account.
I have no excuse for that uncut steerer tube other than being too lazy to fix it. Foundry’s (aka QBP) crabon is heavy, I won’t argue that. But at least I got the frame for free (raffle prize).

I’d schralp it

edit: but are your front bags resting on the brake cable?

gently caressing the cable housing, yes. surprisingly, it’s been a non-issue when actually riding.
the Revelate front bag comes with some foam spacers to offset it and prevent the bag from applying the brakes.

it’s an okay solution to a problem that shouldn’t have ever existed in the first place.

FSA logo on the crank is ruining it for me. Erase that shit!

Nah it’s a presidio. Same thing as far as I can tell though—OX Plat, MUSA, identical geo. I like the fork that’s on it, too, but it would be nice to have something with fender mounts. Don’t wanna half-ass something with zip ties.

But it matches the trusty sticker
