Ha, it did. I’ve had this bike for a few years, the squishy tape the original owner put on was getting torn up and the electrical tape is a “temporary fix” that’s a few months old now.
What kind of electrical tape is the question. Super 88 or gtfo.

Gotta say, I ride a fair amount and I’ve had no issues with adhesive melt and it’s also insanely grippy. Now I’m wondering if it actually is electrical tape? It was at the bottom of my toolbox, unlabeled.

oh i just saw the fender near the seat tube. thats not great but also not terrible.

It was way better before I slammed the wheel to the back of the dropout. Will probably undo that soon. I got frustrated trying to realign the set screws and said to hell with it.
maybe next time you wont buy a bike with god damned labyrinths for dropouts.

This is the correct answer. Get yourself a black mountain road plus or whatever and sell that surly for entirely more than it’s worth. You will need to add bar tape, though, that electrical tape shit is
