That’s how you end up with team names like the Salt Lake Jazz. Like WTH does Jazz have to do with SLC. Then you find out the team was founded in New Orleans.

I heard a guy a work describe this, and it sounded like the Bad News Bears.
I used to like the Yankees then I turned like 12. Fuck the Yankees. Front runner ass team that I’ve been told has regardless managed to suck ass for like 15 years (I’ve not paid attention to baseball for far longer than that however I have attended a few Mets games).
Those glove stealing Yankee fans learned their lesson like the Jan 6th people did I.e. not at all because we are a country that tolerates that nonsense and it will be our undoing.

I love that the Dodgers scouting report for the WS was basically “make the Yankees play basic baseball” and they were right
Only time I’ve been to a mlb game, my friend that od’d took me to the old yankee stadium. We bought scalped tickets off the sidewalk during the fourth inning for like 12 bucks. The stadium was so small you could see better than tv. I don’t do baseball but it was a good night
Old Yankee stadium was a treasure. I could see inside it for a moment on my train ride to and from high school. That gap in right field. Never been to the new one.
