Roll those bars forward a tic and the levers back up a little bit and I think you’ll be in the right spot for that combo.
That bar shape, though, is certainly…of an era

I’d say like 7 or 8 tics. The bottom of the hook should be almost parallel to the ground.
exactly this
Eh this seems awfully prescriptivist. If you can hold the hooks without bending your wrist at a weird angle then they are perfect
Careful. This is very close to saying “Set your bike up however you want. All that matters is that YOU like it”.
And that’s pretty much the opposite of everything Tarck is about.
although we believe “my body my choice” here on tarck, we also believe “your bike my choice”
I think we’re all free to ignore each other’s opinions here.
My opinion is there’s no amount of rotating or reclamping that will actually create a good place to grip those bars
“your bike, my acerbic yet incredibly correct judgement”
Set your bike up however you want, and feel free to ignore our advice. You’ll learn.
Tosco are back in stock
@Shamp do you have input on size?
I was going to do 55cm but figured its worth asking
I went with the 65cm Toscos. The 31.8 quill stem selection is pretty slim (and none are cheap), but the width is nice.
not much competition on wider bars with sweep more than ~45° but less than ~80°
seems like the only Aluminum option is the VO Granola?
And I’ll sell my Granola bars
“sigh, unzip”
yikes indeed, and I have some questions about the frame geo too
not sure I see anything wrong with the geo, but the bars are horrid
slack hta, lots of fork rake. This is something that different camera lenses accentuate more sometimes, but this one looks like it would be kinda floppy
I think that may be an illusion, looks like the photo is rotated a wee bit counterclockwise
