ok jokes aside, I havenât, and Iâm curious. I can only imagine theyre very comfortable like an old Cadillac. imagining an extreme bike that âfeels like a rivâ, which is something that makes perfect sense in my head but I canât articulate further. contrary to the spirit of the thread, I like grant and his chaotic good thing. its interesting. too many things in this world arenât interesting. Kooks are dying off fast. but why did he have to embiggen the Atlantis of all the bikes?

I havenât ridden drop bar Rivs with the long chainstays (my Sam is pre-chainstayitis), but the two upright Rivs Iâve owned with them (Clem, Rosco Platypus) have felt really nice. They ride a lot âlighterâ and are more nimble than youâd expect given how long they are overall.

I rode a long chainstay drop bar riv the other day. Felt pretty good imo. Hoping I can borrow it for a weekend and actually put some miles on it.

they look less ridiculous in larger sizes and with larger wheels but that blue lug one might as well be a longtail

It is kind of the Theory of Riv tho right:
faster backwards â> too much weight on the rear wheel. long ass chainstays push the CG more into the middle, get weight back on the front wheel
