…and buy a Roadini to ride while he waits for the Sachs.
What tire size does he want? What’s he going to do with it?
Probably like 32mm max? “I need a bike for the streets” after his Road Logic was stolen
I showed him the Montebello but he doesn’t want another Ritchey
The heart wants what the heart wants
Roadini is basically a touring bike in terms of geometry - it’s close to what the gen 1 Atlantis was (72/72) and fits 42s.
The roadEO is close to what a cervelo Caledonia would be with longer chainstays (but not as long as roadini), that is 73/72 and fits 35s
These are in stock again. Been riding mine more the last year and still dig it
thanks! forgot about BMC, I sent him the link
VO rando is a good option here too
As much as I want a Riv I can’t really see the point of their road bikes. Local randobro has a Roadini and he says it rides like a turd, does the exact opposite of planing. Reckons his AHH rides better. BMC is a good idea I reckon.
Get another Road Logic?
There’s like billion rim brake road bikes being sold for pennies. Here’s a Co-Motion with sram hydraulic rim brakes for $525.
Jamis had some medium reach frame. There’s plenty of dead ending available
That’s not going to fit 32s. Maybe you can dig up an old Raleigh or something that will, but probably not much from the last four decades.
Oh yeah, Ronnie’s country road bike would fit the bill too.
Sounds like a first gen atlantis
My point was that if a steel frame rim brake road bike is what one desires, there are nice ones out there for 10 cents on the dollar.
I found this Novarra Verita with medium reach brakes and 10s SRAM for $150 last summer. fits 32s. They’re out there.
But hey if a Riv is what he’s after… the heart wants what it wants.Apologies, it’s a Roadeo, not Roadini.
Has your friend considered a cross check?
If he was willing to consider a used bike it would be a lot easier
Pretty sure my gas pipe tube schwinn from high-school cleared 35s. Might ride about the same as a grant couch
He’s buying this!
would have been better if it was a low trail bike. you know, where the fork is long reiki.
