I own a signed copy (only because I ordered from Riv) and read through it some years ago. Can’t say I remember much about it, but it did help me realize that it’s okay to ride a bike in regular clothes/shoes which was a very different mindset from where I was at the time.
I just read the first few “chapters” of my copy and it’s sort of funny how non-radical it is ten years later
Certainly like 10-20% of it is pure Grant kookiness but a lot of it is just… how a lot of people are riding bikes now?..
The rider by Tim krabbe stuck with me a bit
unfilled is fine if the brazing is neat.
it’s no eric estlund but those are fine atmo
Could be a rushed paint sample
Could be setting the expectations for buyers
this was on one of the Bluelug instas
Holy shit 10$? I can get some bombass fish from eurodeli for 3 rubles
There are a few others I grab before at $10 but Fishwife is good tbh
We sell a tin of their salmon for 15.99. Well, it’s on the shelf. I don’t know if anyone actually buys it.
fishwife is $14 in Pdx I believe; there are other good options at $10 but hard to find much below that
The question remains: why is a bicycle company selling fish
The fins on that fish made me think it was called fishiiiife
I should have known artisan whimsical canned fish was already a thing selling for $14 in PDX before being Riv’d
Fishwife is very good. I have no idea what Riv does anymore, so nothing they sell surprises me.
Just the latest Grant whim to become a Riv sku, following: axes, pine tar soap, various non-biking books, weird clothing accessories, etc.
