The Tarck as Fuck Bikes Thread

there is one fault with that bicycle which is the “shut up legs” sticker on the front fender

Agree 100%. Other than that I think that’s one of my all time favorite bikes. I will own a dynamo fixie in my life.

big fan of the mercier nano, iirc jimmy had a brother of that
still always on my own mercier nano hunt
if you see any listings, send em my way

The secula is way too high on the fender but it fits the aesthetic so whatever

I don’t like either of those bikes.

I would ride both of them.

i dream about a dynamo fixie. it would be my optimal commuter. need that.

650b fixed gear porteur

that one IS jimmy’s

with the absurd rerolled fenders

Not sure how fixated you are on a Nanoi, but Trashbar has these Fujis for $175

Those fenders are amazing, like something on a concept vehicle.

I’m trying to think of something cool that could be done to that Fuji with the bottom bracket in the top tube. Maybe like Fred’s Swift of Theseus.

That bike was weird to ride.

i’ve done this a few times. fixed pompino with basket + eyc was the longest lived. old fgfs frame with pott’s mod light wire was the most fun.

this set up was just for a little bit:

but then i went back to brklz with risers bc yolo

a no-weld children’s tallbike!

what is up with that fuji and the top tube?

It’s low-trail and without a front load is a bit squirrely, especially with the short wheelbase and rearward weight bias. Even with a full bundle of firewood on the rack it’s no problem to pop a wheelie. But otherwise it’s a blast and I really like it. Had an orange one, sold it. Bought the black one, sold it, then re-bought it back.

I shortened the fenders shortly after that pic above. It was fun to ride that way, but changing a flat would have been very annoying. Though I probably would have ripped it off catching a curb before then.

This is from a couple of weeks ago, scouting a new commute route.

oh did you and Fred have a tarckup with his new commuter car?

I wish! I moved to Oregon just in time to not see it.

DON’T SAY LOW TRAIL ON A MINIVELO WITHOUT SAYING WHAT YOUR FORK SOLUTION IS JIMMY
