Do what my kid and I do and just go nuts on the bike with indelible paint markers. It lacks the smooth transitions of a professionally painted bike, but it does mean that I have a $700 carbon fork with my daughter’s name misspelled down the left fork leg.

I’m still ancoue years off from being able to do that paint job. I’m also probably a couple years off from doing anything more than swapping tires on my bikes also, so…
If I were back to having financial security and a steady income, I’d definitely pick up one of those 53cm frame in the sub-$500 category for a shit and giggles.
