The "What's it Worth" Thread Redux

Ok, here’s my Schwinn built up as I want to sell it. What’s it worth?

The front rim is salsa delgado to 105 built by me and the rear is some old Mavic thing to a hub that says PARALAX on it.

I was thinking of asking 420 for the lulz.

Maybe @Orloved would give you 420 for it because it’s not actually broken.

These are quite nice, I’ve had them in STX and XT flavours before. Came in LX & XTR too.

LX:

I would list it for $350 and see what offers you get. I bet that bike in good stock condition would sell for $200 on local CL. Clearly you have upgraded all the stock parts. Good move on removing the WI cranks tho. I can send some local tall-ish ppl a pic if you have a “take it off my hands bro price” if that helps.

Based on selling my traitor, the basket is the real value point to these bike buyers. I agree with starting at 420 but 350 isn’t wrong either

Ask 420 accept 350, but you might get closer to asking in this pandemic market.

Also I know you’ve already swapped parts around, but you could take off the front rack/basket and swap out some generic stem and risers and still ask the same exact price.

Came back to the thread to LOL at the seat tube angle

I paid $300-something for an almost identical bike pre-pandemic
List for $420, accept $400
You could probably get even more if you wait a bit

Seconding that the Parallax hubs are secretly very nice Shimano hubs and should be a selling point

This would totally get $450 here. Especially if you mention that it’s SHIMANO EQUIPPED!

I should sell these wheels. Stan’s 3.30 6 bolt rear 142x12 w/8/9/10 HG freehub to Stan’s Arch EX, Shimano 100x12 center lock TA dyno to another Stan’s Arch EX. Maybe 100mi on the front wheel since I had it built with DT comps and alloy nips to match the rear, the rear wheel is about 6 years old and has a few scratches and the like from use but is true and doesn’t look its age. But how many dollars?

Hey dudes, what’s it worth

10sp sram red mini group
Shakes/rd/cassette 12-32/chain

Also
32sp white ind MI5 to 650b a23 rimbrake

ATMO $200ish for the groupetto, though I haven’t tracked prices in several months so maybe different considering pandemic bike industry variations. Price the shakes at $150 and try to tack on the rest if buyer is interested.

Wheelset: man no idea. Are the A23s tubeless compatible? Weirdly 650b rim brake wheelsets are thin on the ground, I’d price those at close to whatever retail was on the hubs.

Almost exactly what I told him

lmk if the Red group ends up not selling.

It’s not mine, he’s posting them to CL/ebay. I can connect you

Thinking of selling the never ridden mtn bike. 2014 Salsa Horsethief 1, SRAM 2x10, DT 350 hubs, Avid XO Trail brakes, non-boost. It got new bars, grips, stem, tires, brake rotors and metallic pads, cassette and chain right after I bought it in 2017. Brand new MRP bash guard. Fork and shock have like five miles on them since they were serviced. Bummer part is that it’s a demo bike (with a weirdo S/N) with no internal dropper routing like the production frames.

Ask $1500, accept $1200? Might wait until spring to sell this.

Ask 1600 now, if it doesnt sell ask 1500 and take 1200 in the spring.

I’ve got some gunmetal Chris King Classic Discs (6 bolt QR ) laced to polished Archetypes (700c). I have no real use for either the rims or the hubs, could probably reuse the spokes. If I’m selling on ebay do I sell as complete or unlace the hubs and sell the hub set?
