The "what's it worth?" thread.

Rusty, fuck all that anti-Italian noise.
you know you want it:

triple triangle and italian. i’m in love
Anybody know anything about Oasis?
Looks fillet brazed and 56x54 sounds right up my alley.

I just saw that and thought of you! I have the opposit problem, short legs and normal body…

i bet that oasis goes dirt cheap and it’s a perfect fit.
that’s good karma.

Wonder how much different some of those 105 parts are from my RSX stuff. I have full RSX, hubs and everything(though the front hub had no grease when I got it, and was a bit pitted, gonna have to toss that). I like it all alot, but my only experience with geared bicycles are pretty much twist shift walmart bikes from when I was a kid.

Hope so, man.
I want Big Apples.
they’re around $32 cheapest on the internet for the wire bead ones (20-55 psi/895g).
I found the Schwalbe Super Motos (similar tread, 30-55 psi/ 690g) FOLDING bead for $45.

I don’t even fuck with wire bead tires on my road bike anymore.

Tell me I should spend a little more for the baller-ass lighter folding tires for a goofy kid hauling bike that I’ll probably end up riding most. worth it?

(ps- eventually I’m gettin those Cinelli Valencias for this bike)
Do these 2.2 WTBs look decent for road use at $13 each?
http://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product_10053_10052_228118_-1_200327_200276_200520

is it worth $40-60 more for a pair of Schwalbes?

derka sherpa mohammed?
derka derka derka?

^what?

Viking, those tires are probably fine, but I feel like tires are a place on the bike where you really do get what you pay for.

Worth it for this wheel?

Not really. CXP33 with 32 DT butted spokes is around $100 brand new. If they hub were worth more than $60, then maybe. I’m not up to date on the value of campy parts.

I know, I know, so true. But I bought 'em anyway, cuz I wanted that $6 front rack, and I couldn’t really justify the $45 tires. 20% off! Thanks secret bicycle-riders club!

Also those tires weigh about twice as much as the other ones. I guess I can always upgrade later, and on put the WTBs on a flip. Review to come!

I’m way into this Land Shark. But the asking price seems a bit high. What do you think?

http://newyork.craigslist.org/brk/bik/1126603128.html

$550 for f/f/headset

:

I’d probably do it if it fit me, but I’m a sucker for pink bikes and for land sharks.
The combination might be too much for me to resist.

that paint/decals/bike is perfect.

so happy that landshark is way too small for me.

damn that build up on the shark is the definition of sex

i have basically the exact same bike. 54x55 prestige that i bought complete with parts dura ace bb, sugino aero mighty cranks, shimano 105/ma2 front and a few other nice parts for $450.
that being said i may have sold those parts for $125 max and kept the cranks.
anyway, i love the bike to death. so light and springy. it’s all ive been riding lately.

Get the Land Shark.
