Call me tomorrow and I’ll help you with planning, what should be packed, etc.
Tomorrow you just want to come over, get burrito, help plan packing, help me plan selling my stuff then go to polo?
shotguns and a hacksaw for the dead hookers
Also will accept sponsorships in the form of couches to sleep on.

Maybe you’d want to visit CouchSurfing along the way and meet a few people who’d be willing to show you around town. It’d a bit better (and more fun!) I might add then staying at a motel/ hotel to get all cleaned and washed up. Most of all, staying with your hosts cost nothing and is absolutely free.
A girl I know went all around Europe and used CS. Found it very safe. I’m sure you’d echo that sentiment too once you’ve given it a shot.
I would want to couch surf and camp.
Shocker Ian. I am definitely starting to plan right now what all I would sell, what I would give to friends to store.
I would be a nice purge too.
You can also use warmshowers.org it is just like couch surfing, but for touring cyclist. I’m going to be staying with someone from that site when I reach Tulsa later this morning.
Also, just be aware of what your body can handle. If it is telling you to stop, stop. Don’t over do miles, just to get cross country faster. Do A LOT of test rides with the bike fully loaded… And do what you realistically think you can do, as far as miles. Do a few weekend tours that are 50-100 miles from where you are. Also, go up the biggest steepest hills that are around you, fully loaded. Do this several times too
if you are feeling ambitious and want to head out to the midwest, more specifically minnesota, I have a spare bedroom that you can crash in.
^Likewise for chicago, though there are bikes in my spare bedroom, there’s a comfy futon in the living room with your name on it.
^and i am somewhere in between - about 100 miles east of minneapolis, although probably out of the way.
if you make it to austin
you can crash at our house
Couch and polo in Edmonton
couch in Las Vegas, but no one ever does a tour through here coz middle of nowhere.
If you can make it Oakland… Oh, nevermind.
My hope is to get over to the midwest before it gets too cold but no idea if that will happen.
Too cold?
What mean?
