Look at carver for forks. I have three of them with lots of miles and have no regerts. I would have bought a fourth but shelled out for enve just cause I felt weird having four of them
I’m still dithering on some cranksets, two bikes have two different needs.
Firsr, my Waterford. I’m looking for a silver rival crankset but all the ones I find are too beat or too short. I’m open to alternatives. I need something silver, somewhat angular and visually not chunky like Shimano or curved like campy. Two piece/outboard bearings, 172.5 or 175, silver, and 110bcd. Am I missing anything or is this it? I want square taper looks, with a ‘modern’ bb.
Next is the Steamroller, I’m looking for a black or carbon 144bcd crankset with outboard bearings. I like the vision track crank because I think it vibes well with the deep rims I wanna run in the future but I can’t find any used in 170 and I’m not buying new. I originally thought about getting any sram carbon gxp/dub spiderless crankset and an Ali-x 144 bcd spider but would really prefer something with that’s just 144bcd. Another thought is I saw a Shimano asym to 144bcd adapter and I’ve got some 9100 cranks in the bin.
Thanks tarck, and not sorry for the NDS photo.
I have some silver 165mm 144 bcd Ali cranks I can send you if you’re interested.
This one
Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out! $106.14 | Bicycle Crankset Chain Wheel 48t/49t Anti-skid Wear-resistant Aluminum Alloy Cycling Track Fixed Gear

Thanks but nah, I’ll run a lil Ali-x adapter or something but I’d prefer my components to be “brand name” because I’m vain af
I get it. But sometimes I imagine living in a parallel world where Deckas , Toseek, Evosid, Skeace, etc. are the real brand names, and I’m like ‘what’s even the difference, really?’
I’ve been happy with the 40 miles I’ve put on my Dekas narrow wide chainring but wish I had gotten a larger tooth count.
“Enve, Enve, Ritchey, Ritchey, Campy, Campy, Shiman-ah
Basic bitch bikes wear that shit so I don’t even both-ah”
-Me while buying ZTTO on Ali-x
those look fine other than the branding
lmao at actually using the same font
"no see there’s no crossbar, that’s not a “G”, it’s “ULTEORA”
White Industries, Middleburn, Hope perhaps, with appropriate spiders.
IRD Lobo or Sugino OX-?? for 110/74 compact double might also work for you.
I’m looking for a black or carbon 144bcd crankset with outboard bearings.
New, but hot:

or maybe these?
For no reason whatsoever I just bought a 10 pack of every barb and olive combo ZTTO had on their Ali store. All 5 sets shipped were $12. I own a single bike with hydros and it only has Shimano. Will I EVER use the SRAM or Magura? Almost certainly not but now I’ve got it in my kit for that mythical time that will never come.
I think I’m gonna take the 2.8" knobby WTBs off the Evasion and switch to fenders and road tires. What’s a decent ~48mm 650b tire I should consider? Pretty sure I remember someone here saying the WTB Horizon was garbage but I don’t remember why.
IRC Boken Plus ATMO. Pathfinder Pro or Strada Bianca probably good too. Or give American Classic ones a try and let me know.
I’ve liked the Boken road plus well enough. Better than Horizons and Ramparts atmo. I couldn’t ever find a good pressure for the Horizons. They were either comfy and squishy in the turns or better in the turns and too hard. The Ramparts (allegedly light and supple) felt a bit better that the Horizons, but they were strangely noisy to me.
I like the Gravelking slicks but I’m always on the lookout for something else
GK slick 650 x 48 is the worst tire I’ve ever ridden. Please don’t do it to yourself.
Been really happy with Bokens and Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H.
i have never felt another tire self steering due to road paint (the thicc melted kind, but still). makes gatorskins look ready to win BQ. i gave mine away with a warning and the person who took them was happy enough. those tires are dogshit tho
Spent most of the day converting my buddies lever operated dropper to a sram shifter mech. Transplanted the guts from one of mine to his dedicated SS levers. Hadnt realized the SS cowling is slightly different but it files nicely. Made some room for the lever throw. The guts were the 3-piece old school ones so real tricky to install. Damn satisfyingly when it worked tho.
Wow really? I’ll have to try those then. The GK so much better than the WTB horizon I had before. I felt they were about the same as the RH offering…
