Been riding the new plastic bike all season cause I needed to spend time on the nasty Stan’s in the SS
Got it sorted yesterday and rode it today on my regular trail. Plastic bike needed the dropper cause going down technical drops felt like uncontrolled nose wheelies.
SS goes right over the same drops like it’s on rails. Never feels squirrely.
Enve fork is 1” longer than carver.
The specs on the frames are surprisingly similar. Like a couple of mm and a couple degrees here and there. 22mm more affective Tt length on the sawyer.
Sawyer has a longer stem with swept bars and more spacers.
Sawyer always feels like you’re part of it rather than perched on top of it. I’m more stretched out on the sawyer and feel like my cranks are further forward in relation to the saddle.

I’ve liked Diety lockon grips. Their Slimfit is 31mm if that fits your idea of slim.

Rode the plastic bike today. Moved the saddle back about 6mm barely touched the dropper
