I guess it’s not a gen 1 then. It’s a disc brake quill stem Polyvalent.
No idea what the original color was; the previous owner had the paint stripped and the frame treated with some sort of clear finish at a gun shop. It might be a cerakote or something. It looks rad

post yer bike, sounds really cool. That would be gen 4. I fit 650bx2.1 thunderburts without fenders for a while. it was pretty rad.
@igor Here it is in its current condition. The mystery clear coat allows you to see the brazing. The steel Persuader bars would really tie the room together.
