What did you do to your bike today?

That was my shop that was selling those - I got a few more still in the boxes @ $100.
Trek 1500 63cm

Lololol.

so many lols

don’t you have two other not-shitty roadies? why would you buy that trek turd?

Its really not that bad. Light and cheap is what I wanted for this parts bin build. I’ve got a 97 litespeed and 96 Ti serotta(not built) that I dont feel like beating on.

Got some bikes and frames ready for the bike swap tomorrow. I’ll probably be hauling 90% of them home because my prices are too high. I’m OK with this.

fuck chinese carbon clinchers. Worst wheels I have ever fucking mounted a tire to. Are all carbon clinchers this fucking terrible to mount tires to or just mine?

Started pulling stuff out today for the same reason. But I haven’t priced it yet. Fuck, I am taking sooo much stuff I really hope a lot of it sells cos I’m sick of dealing with it in my teeny tiny shed. Probably gonna have to price stuff low to try and facilitate that. And have a big freebie box. Blakey, buy my stuff!

Tc- Should just throw it all in a bonfire.

Also, here’s a pre-emptive ā€œfuck youā€ for the hagglers.

Can’t buy, will be getting on a plane.

zipp firecrests are super nice to mount tires. So easy.

Actually rode the damn thing; put on new pro vibe 7 seat post.
Evidently a) i am out of shape, and b) had slight fixie saddle angle, so no wonder I felt more pressure on the wrists. Need to level that off.
(I only noticed it after looking at pics of bike on my phone once I returned home).

Hauled 50% of it home. Sold some broken ass old shit with a little bit of life left in it. Bought some broken ass old shit with a little bit of life left in it. Big Splurge: Ultegra 10sp 11-25 cassette, NIB. Best buy: Nishiki Colorado from jimmy’s basement, Shimano 105 brake only levers for $10, nearly new.

sold a few hundred bucks of crap including my hilariously bad Elixir CRs

it was hilarious all us dirtbag kids were over in a corner together in a contiguous stretch of booths

ended up $300 behind, bought:
[]rare stems: 120mm Dura Ace quill, 120mm steel 1 1/8" Titec, 130mm titanium 1" specialized
[
]a swift industries ozette bag that needs a tiedown method added, was looking all over for them during setup but it turned out we were sharing a booth with them, actually bargained him up on it
[]another pair of amazeballs 28mm Ultremo ZX tires from some italian guys for less than euro street price, they said they have cases of them and do group buy discounts: http://www.tiremaniacs.com/schwalbe_ultremo_zx_700x28c-details.aspx
[
]Paul V-brake levers sealed-in-bag for 1/4 MSRP
[]asked $30 for something and got traded some Time RXS Carbon pedals with 2 pairs of cleats worth double that (adding to my hoard of two pairs of each)
[
]an awesome 90s Mavic headset for my ALAN so it’ll have all-mavic balleurtowne bearings
[]a Tufo tubular to keep as a reliable spare that I hopefully never use
[
]some funny-colored leather mudflaps that will perfectly match the TAF paint job on my Elephant

exactly the Honjos I was gonna get for the Elephant at half-price (though need to go pick up the hardware from him)
Bought some DA7800 cranks from a wc-level messenger we call Treebeard (he calls me Quickbeam) thinking they were 180s but actually 175s, will need to resell

A dude that was prob 7’1" came over to our booth with his 6’9" buddy looking for long cranks, told him I just sold the pair of 180s I’d brought, had tallcrü chat for a while and realized I left my 190s at home that I should sell, gave him my email.

protip: don’t put price stickers on things, it’s a pain in the ass to do and leads to fewer sales

If you end up not wanting it, let me know. I want.

Bike swap at the table with Fred. I sold a bunch of shit that’s been sitting in my bike bin since last year and not worth commenting on. I walked out with
[]Almost new square taper Sugino cranks 48/38/28 (Thanks Andrew Squirrel)
[
]Purple ano straddle cable hangers for XO
[]4x Ultremo ZX tires at insane stupid price ($30 ea) - 28mm sizeway (see Freds post above)
[
]Campagnolo Chorus 11s shakes for $150
Also walked out of there with $6 more than I walked in there with and with a pile of bike crap I was never going to use again. I consider it a success.

Picked up some

 • Nitto Dirt Drop RM013 bars (from Fred)
 • Rodriguez Big Squeeze Brakes – great condition (after cleaning) , came with Scott Mathauser Cantilever Brake Pads
 • Dura Ace RD-7800 GS (medium cage). Very happy

I like where this is going.

I’m not gonna be there, though. Just lending my truck to a guy who will be selling on my behalf. Kinda sucks cos I’d like to see if there’s anything I want to buy.
