Did my first pair of compact bars, cuz STI levers on ancient Sakae Rando bars was ergonomic weirdness. Hoods feel correctly positioned now.
Got a road tubeless flat on rear wheel; shart of glass on a rainy commute. Didn’t go totally flat, but milk spilled. Praying to seal gods…

Rode it to the beach, got hella sunburnt, ate tons of junk food.
which handlebar beverage/stuff holder is that and how you like?
Its this dude, https://roadrunnerbags.us/shop/pointnshooter/
I also have their co-pilot bag which is a bit smaller. They’re both super stable but can come on or off real fast. Love em, even if I knock my knees on it climbing out of the saddle when its stuffed. Its no biggie though.
Bounced and skidded my way down a really Rocky trail on my rigid 26. 8 miles total, out and back, and 1900’ of elevation each way. Definitely going back.
Pulled the old fork from my xtracycle. Had to use a mallet to bust it loose. There was zero grease in there, just some dried up remnants of red stuff.
Installed a beat up old King and the Trucxtracycle fork.
That fucking fork has six brazeons for attaching a platform and two hourglass bosses for light mounting and ZERO fucking attachment points for a fender! Who the fuck who wants a weird cargo fork doesn’t also want fenders?!?
Anyway, I think I figured out how I’m gonna mount one. It came to me in a dream.
Whoa.
Fuck yeah. Please keep me informed on fender mounting as I have a cool old wald 20" fender I’d like to install.

all aboard Rudy’s wild ride
ordered it. getting another gunnar, this time the hyper-xc with the paragon rockers. much roundabout dithering led me to this one, but basically it’s the sscx bike i’ve been wanting with enough utility from the dropouts for it to earn it’s place during the off-season.
gonna be this color which i’m really psyched about:
what i’m even more psyched about is the cascade of other gear shuffling that’s happening as a result, trading lots of extraneous racing stuff in for the sake of having a bike to do all the fun pukebacking stuff i’ve been watching you all do via the internet for way too long
new headset for the ladybiek, no more indexed steering for her.
Just recabled/housinged my front shifting. I think my bike is creak free for the first time in months.
everyone apin my color steeze
humbled.
Found the Creak!!!
It was my dangler hanger! Fucker.
Guess I got ahead of the right bb bearing that was getting rough, but still annoying af.

fruck yeah
My Selle Anatomica without the cutout has been giving me fits for a while, so I decided to put the cutout in myself:
Also turned the tension up quite a bit because as Fred mentioned to John above, I think I was sitting on the clamp quite a bit! Anyway the saddle feels pretty good right now, supports my seat bones while giving my squishy bits some space. We’ll see whether or not it remains good though!

for real
i’d put money on it being the QR just getting retightened
My bike was creaking like a mofo. Loosened and greased the Paragon sliders. Boom. Silence.
Ok, sliders or adj dropouts sure
But if it was like “removable dangler hanger got loose” I’m gonna make myself another bag of chips
