What did you do to your crosscheck today?

So the jtek let’s you use exact-action shifters with an x-actuation dangler? Good to know!
It was years ago that I used rollamajigs just to improve the action, on my 2:1 gripshift which was arse, but it was prone to getting fouled by mud. Dyu reckon this would have issues in mud too?

Edit: I just noticed, this gives you an adjuster. Very cool!

Mud is a concern. I suppose I could have run it further upstream near the bars to reduce grime.

I’m thinking about trying to heat shrink it to seal things up.

i live in fear of the day that the bottom falls out on the 2x compatible sram clutched rear derailleur market

A little bird told me there may be a mechanical “gravel” Sram derderder just around the corner. So hopefully this foolishness is moot.

I saw that done once and it looked appalling. I reckon you could do it really well tho if you thought about it for a bit.

I almost put this on my Search XR and would have had to pull some shenanigans like that. That was a big reason it lingered so long on my desk.

Torching the dangler on the coffee grinder was a blessing in disguise.

What do you mean by this? Exact-actuation 2x clutched?

Day/ruiner - Strategically zip tied some split vinyl hose to the Duo rack to protect it from the bare metal mounts on the Swift panniers. Demounted the Horizon from the old front wheel, pulled all the dried milk off the inside, remounted on new front wheel, remilked.

Lorry - Trued the brake rotors, adjusted the brakes, adjusted the saddle. Front brake adjustment was a pain. Took too long to figure out the fender stay was pushing against the bottom of the caliper and the top bolt was bent and was causing the caliper to move when trying to tighten it.

This stuff was all dried.

What’s the street value?

Technology eh. One day someone will invent tubes.

It’s like a tube that you make at home

God that looks disgusting

It’s like an artisanal tube, a cross between Sea-monkeys, Tamagotchi and sour-dough.

That’s what I’m hoping for. Sram has been pretty adept at missing the target on this so far despite having all the tools at their disposal.

And still manages to come out more disgusting than the sum of those ingredients

ATMO leave as-is until it’s really a problem. I used a jtek on an “all-road” bike for years in Seattle and surrounding forest roads and never had an issue.

Bullitt has been upstairs in the apartment since brakes got stolen last week. Waiting it out for a bit before bringing it downstairs.

Unrelated supwief wanted to try out rollers so I found a set locally on eBay. Set her up on the Bianchi…and she decided immediately was not for her.

Worked out a quick POC to address the stability issue and just-as-quickly decided it was pure JA .

But it could work with some thru-bolts. Maybe.

Chances are very good this will happen. The Sunday squad checked in 18 bikes today (about 3x normal for Sunday) so the likelihood of me forgetting all about this before I can actually mess with my own stuff is pretty good.

How hard would it be for them to make the GX one you pictured earlier exact-actuation? Or give the 1x stuff a wider range.

Extremely simple.
