Small Sam got some boring gray Deity grips and UV okay zip ties, moved the dyno wheel over to it from the big Sam cause it’s probably going to get ridden a lot more.
Katu got some purple ODI extra chunk grips and the dyno wheel swapped out for the stock wheel, debating taking the fenders off now. The Lorry got me rethinking things.
Lorry got a brown B17 saddle because that’s what was in the bin and it’s ugly and it still looks better.
Short version: As tarck is my witness, I can be prone to making compulsive bike purchasing decisions.
Long version: Having a super casual upright bike was nice and the big (62cm drop bar) Sam was bought to replace the Clem, with the plan being to convert it to upright dork mode. Fast forward eight months and my commute went from 4 miles to 13+ miles. The big Sam, still in drop bar mode, was nicer to ride than the Space Horse, but too big for me with drop bars, so I bought a 58cm drop bar Sam and sold the Space Horse.
As of a few weeks ago, the big Sam is now full upright dork bike and the small Sam is foppy hybrid bike because even the small Sam is too long for me with drop bars. Like @igor says, “Change your bars, change your life”.
