What did you do to your crosscheck today?

Anti nascar rack only turns right
Wait rear rack so it’s turning left carry on.
Until it doesn’t

what is your “getting tandem to the nth floor” solution?

Small Sam got some boring gray Deity grips and UV okay zip ties, moved the dyno wheel over to it from the big Sam cause it’s probably going to get ridden a lot more.

Katu got some purple ODI extra chunk grips and the dyno wheel swapped out for the stock wheel, debating taking the fenders off now. The Lorry got me rethinking things.

Lorry got a brown B17 saddle because that’s what was in the bin and it’s ugly and it still looks better.

Why do you have two of the same bike in different sizes? Explain yourself.

That’s what this is tho eh? No help to me tho cos it’s MTB cable-entry styles.

yeah. but sram declared the mtb double dead years ago, so at some point that has to get pulled

Sort of. It’s still not great. It shifts about as well as Apex. The older X9 and X0 versions were much better.

The new 11a on I have now hooked up via a jtek is on a whole different level.

Please ignore the extra long cables, I’m waiting to figure out if this is viable before I go cutting things.

Short version: As tarck is my witness, I can be prone to making compulsive bike purchasing decisions.

Long version: Having a super casual upright bike was nice and the big (62cm drop bar) Sam was bought to replace the Clem, with the plan being to convert it to upright dork mode. Fast forward eight months and my commute went from 4 miles to 13+ miles. The big Sam, still in drop bar mode, was nicer to ride than the Space Horse, but too big for me with drop bars, so I bought a 58cm drop bar Sam and sold the Space Horse.

As of a few weeks ago, the big Sam is now full upright dork bike and the small Sam is foppy hybrid bike because even the small Sam is too long for me with drop bars. Like @igor says, “Change your bars, change your life”.

It happens to fit perfectly in the elevators from corner to corner. Nice way of making sure no one else rides up with us :couple:

2.15" Big Apples onto the Lorry. Saved almost 1.5 lbs and feels so much better. Fuck to those stock tires.

Put a shorter stem on my Jeff Jones in the hopes of making it easier to jump and manual :sunglasses:

New-ish stem and new bartape on the tandem

Horrible 120mm stem and even worse tape

changed to

proper length stem, with bell, and real bartape.

Damnit. Wanted to do a “quick” tuneup on the hg today, it really needs a full strip and service tbh.

Somehow fucked around and hit the brake lever with the wheel out, popped the piston out, brake juice everywhere.

Guess I’ll be doing that full service after all… Day Ruined.

Got annoyed at everything on my Vaya and left it in the stand mid repair to just go ride my mtb.

Feeling much better.

Oh that’s a good pic, thanks.

It’s tempting to try that while REI still has their sale going on.
