did you get the black or the silver ones? they just released the silver ones today, it looks like they have a little upsweep in the bar.
Black. Probably going to tape the whole bar.
Speaking of koyote, look what came in the mail today.
Aside from being absurdly wide, they might end up being favorite bar. They are wider than the doorway to my apartment.
This is the way
I’m all in on sick hybrid life.
Yup I was set on trimming them when they showed up but I’m loving the full width, also using ergons. This is the alt bar combo I’ve been looking for all along
Which ergons? These are the city ones and they are perfect
Ga3 I think. Bought for the mtb but the hybrid intercepted
It was probably one of you I heard about them from.
Didn’t think the rise on these was that much, just ordered some dj risers but now I’m dithering again. This set up looks awesome.
- removed bleed blocks
- installed rear wheel, positioned rear caliper, and double checked rear shifting
- tried installing front wheel, learned front mount is for 140 rotors.
- threw spacers/longer bolts on there, installed front wheel, and set caliper position
- adjusted saddle height/angle
- tightened headset preload and stem
- road it once down the length of the patio
Soooo close. Just need to torque bolts to spec and fine tune fit.
I uhh, pumped up the tires and thought about a new chain.
Took of the rear Reen tire, trimmed most of the plug in there and installed a vulcanizing patch over the nub.
Degreased the chain to try some new Peaty’s lube.
Rode it home. Seems fine.
Reworked the cockpit on the CAAD10. Switched to the Enve Aero bars coz PRO AF, got rid of the old under-stem Di2 junction box and went to the bar-end setup with internally routed wires. What a pain in the arse. Pulled the perfectly awesome Shimano cables and housing for Jagwire I-link stuff, also a pain, but it looks really good.
Also trimmed the steerer by 4mm to get it to fit under a 10mm spacer. 7.5mm on there right now. Just enough to switch back to the tall top cap and have it be flush if I want. Current setup is slammed, and PRO AF, kinda what I set out to do when I was putting it together. Thing is, I’m not PRO AF, so it feels a little weird. Not in the fit department, more like the I don’t have any fitness department.
Fit seems okay. It’s a tiny bit of a stretch over where I was, but totally doable. Can ride in the drops just fine, hoods are comfortable. Can climb as well. Standing up and smashing on the pedals is a little better as my arms are more extended. It’s just, a lot of saddle to bar drop. It’s amazing the difference in feeling between the tall and short top caps, which is only 6mm.
I can get behind this.
Put some aerobars on the Coffee Ginder and reconfigured computer and bell placement.
Took it out to ride my “birthday” grav grav loop. Feels good.
I keep thinking it could be cool to glue thicker foam into the grid spaces underneath the basket as a damper, with thinner material inside so that it can still fold
@JUGE_FREDD Too bad I’m not at my old job we had the perfect adhesive backed foam for your purpose that we threw out vast quantities of out regularly. If you know someone nearby you can always check the dumpsters. They don’t lock them. Dropped pin

That could be a full afternoon project depending on the crate.
this gives me flashbacks to when I casually mentioned I could use some MLV in my truck and my neighbour had just thrown out a full roll
This reminds me I have a few sheets of MLV I don’t want anymore.
