What did you do to your crosscheck today?

Rode rollers without a fan, pure misery. Watched some dh and was weaving left and right as they went through the turns.

Also try raising the bars.

I had to stop watching riding videos on the rollers. My Insideride have the roller bumpers, but they only do so much to save you.

They should add in cars that cut you off to make right turns, so that it’s as realistic as possible.

It’s been a while since I’ve played a GTA game, but I think that’s how it was in San Andreas.

Imagine Claudio narrating his way through that like he does the WC tracks!

A vr rampage run would be cool.

I took my crosscheck on a big dumb ride (Giro PDX) with some hammerheads. I burned all my matches in the first 1.5 hrs and had to call Wife Flight at the halfway point. I severely underestimated my fitness.

Got all my various adapters working!

I made a bad choice upgrading this thing and not just getting a new bike. What an absolute pain in the ass. But hey, dynamo setup now! And I guess I could get a front rack on there!
Might have to spray.bike it if I like the setup enough.

I like that paint job, though.

It’s not bad paint, I’m just kind of sick of it and am fantasizing about a new bike.

Gearing under 1:1 eh? What kind of riding are you doing on it?

Is it a CX frame? It looks like the kind of build I used to rando on.

Do you have cable to hydraulic converters or something going on there?

No, just flat mount to post mount on the fork.
And then there’s a specialized part-headset lower adapter for non-specialized forks. Fork crown had this situation, and the frame had a larger than normal recess for the lower bearing:

And the bb30 has had adapters for 24mm cranks for years.
Yeah it’s a cross frame from 2013 or 2014. There is a lot of dirt road riding and a lot of hills. The dirt roads are not really the same as like Midwest gravel. I initially set the bike up in response to D2R2, but I had kids and got alcoholic and fat and stopped going. I’ve lost some weight and… hills are easier? Hopefully this dyno hub and light setup will get me out riding after it’s dark at 4:30. Need to install the rear light today.

That housing bend at the front caliper is making me :grimacing:

I’m not too happy about it myself. What to do? Some kind of v-brake noodle kludge?

It’s Yokozuna housing if that helps?

Zip ties instead of internal routing or flat mount caliper

I’d be kind of bummed about running zip ties. Flat mount caliper comes when new frame comes… spring maybe?

That’s why I thought it was hydraulic !
