I remember in a This Old Tony video he talked briefly about wanting to make a diy ultrasonic cleaner from an old dishwasher but ended up just buying a cheap import iirc.
Dismantled my 27.5 dynamo wheel last night so I can rebuild it into a 29er wheel. I have a credit with a builder so its only costing me spokes and a rim. If I decide to go back to 27.5 after this event I will rebuild it myself. Watched that Pinkbike academy thing while I was dismantling the wheel, because one of the kids I used to coach was in it. What a load of crap. Donât waste your time, humble apologies for sharing it earlier without watching it first.

but do they get cleaned while fully assembled and filled with grit in between every mating surface?

but if the argument here is that this is ultrasonic machining, why would it be worse than the grinding youâd get under riding loads and link articulation?
Applied new fox decals to my trance (getting rid of bright green).
Of course I fucked up the application. Trained from doing rockshox replacements, I was centering from the side of the fork when you were supposed to center from the front. Part of the problem is newer forx have numbers on front, but mine was still on the side. So the drive side is wrong, but the nds is correct. Maybe I will get around to ordering more, but I am not so sure.

No use showing the end result. Wheel was true to within .005â and all the DS spokes were within one whole number in the TM1 scale and closer to 130Kgf than 100 (with the tire mounted). NDS was a little more and into the range of âhaving some tensionâ.
Laced up my first fat bike rim today for wifeâs blackborow kid hauler. SP PD-8 150mm to a mulefut 80 v2 rim to match the rear. Didnât unbuild original wheel in case she doesnât want full time dynamo hub for longer rides in the summer. Kind of weird since the rim offset is so high, and thereâs 64 holes, 32 on each side so that took a minute to figure out. Glad I had the other wheel so I could just look at it. So far so good. Didnât have to look anything up at all about lacing this time either and got the key spoke right and the hub label centered first try.

Considering that SP pulls less than 1.5w of rider input when switched off, youâre probably fine.
I like that dynamo lights donât have a perceivable impact on my pace, but it would be cool if you could switch off your lights and enter AFTERBURNER MODE

Swapped the dths for some crosskings. Look good for cheap tires. Round profile, super tight bead, not super hard.

What width DTH, and how did you like them? Iâm wanting some nicer 2.35+ tires for a city bike, and I like the possibility of skinwall.
The wider version, 2.3 i think. They are nicer than youâd think. Real soft. And pretty light too if i remember right.

Today I trued the front and re-trued the rear wheel as well as balanced the tension. Added fresh Orange Seal. Washed the bike and raised the saddle by 5mm.
Iâve got that, âIâve just raised the saddle by 5mmâ anxiety now.
