How them tires?
I’m gonna let them settle before measuring but they’re slightly bigger than the gravel kings and parimotos of the same size, enough that I’m going to have to pull the fenders.
They feel no complaints good on pavement, felt 1000 times better than the slick GKs on half frozen grass/mud and I forgot to hit the two gravel paths that were the entire reason for going to the beach. I didn’t duck any fast corners with them yet but so far I think I’ll keep them on until they’re dead

It doesn’t suck. It’s light on it’s feet, high bb and no toe overlap.
Came with a ball bearing headset, stainlessness steel inserts for the rear drop outs and I think seat clamp. Didn’t have to fuck with the front disc mount to get it set up well. Only slight problem is the brand bridge limiting rear tire size, but a 35 cross and ‘38’ conti slick fits with the rear wheel almost slammed.
Would buy again especially if it came in a bigger size. The biggest size has a shorter tt than I’d like, I’m 6’3" and have a 100mm stem on it. A 70 or 80 with longer tt would be more ideal, but isn’t riding the wrong size frame part of the fixie dream?
Definitely get one. The high bb is really fun on cyclocross-able mtb trails. Pull some sick whip skids and wheelies and tell the haters ayhsmb.

Scored a 2007 Trek 7100 hybrid from a colleague, passing it off to a friend. Gave it a going over and found the damnedest thing in the front brake. The V noodle has a little spring perch to mushify the interface with the housing. Makes the brake feel like shit. Must be for people trained to fear front brakes as children.

Installed ADVENT X on the Jones. Not as smooth as Shimano, but it feels better than SRAM (atmo). Paired with an oval 30t ring, a 116-link KMC chain fit perfectly.
I’d like to do a head-to-head comparison with Deore M5100 when the latter is available again.

took the clydesdale down from the rack when heading out to work in the warehouse today. front flat. has finish line in tune. put air in it, held across 6 miles on the way there and closer to 8 miles on the way back. i don’t know if i’ve installed any in it since the pandemic started, though i think maybe i did.
either way that shit is so low maintenance and effective
