Finished another bike for the beach shack. Frame is apparently a Shogun ninja, pretty light for a big Boi. 600 DT shifters and rear mech, Cannondale/Coda cranks and brake calipers, unknown wheels, 13/28 freewheel (new!) From the parts bin, levers from the parts bin.
Seems to ride quite nicely, but hard to tell as I can’t even get on the saddle.

what are those tires

Vee Speedsters.
Came stock. I’ve got some powerblocks but I don’t see any reason to swap. They feel pretty nice.

I swapped out tires, which took for EVER because always replace the tape. I have to relearn this about once a year. It’s always the tape.

As someone who swaps put tubeless tires for people almost daily, I can confirm.

made a forbidden long-cage 6770 di2 dangler, added a wooftoot hanger extender, and put an 11-36 cassette on my buddy’s bike

still unsure why he considered this more attractive than a nerdcrank swap when I laid out the menu of options to get below a 1:1 bottom gear, but hey, it works!

That di2 cable routing gives me horrified shivers.

Lorry got a clutch dangler and the RAW mud flaps that I bought 1.5 years ago. It also got regulated back down to 20 mph because 25 was just too much.

Sam got a 10 spd chain and cassette, plus a 42T ring and chain guard in place of the stock middle and outer rings. Oh, and a 27 year old XT dangler.

I’ve been building up the chinacarbon FS (FM-936) for the Angel. Building a FS with internal routing from frame up absolutely sucks. I don’t want to ride one of those retro dork bikes, but I can see why someone would pick like a Tanglefoot or something with mechanical discs to putter around the woods with on principle. Building up modern bikes just does not spark joy for me.
