Bought an Adventure Fork to stretch out smol CG lifespan, but now new HG is coming soon. Gonna get the fork cut generously in the meantime. I did all the calculations but still nervous. Dithering, man.

installed dura ace cranks, new kmc chain and new 40t narrow wide ring. ring was concerningly cheap on ebay and weighs more than the crankset, pretty sure its made for e-bike shit.
applied vintage times as well because oh my god i hate flat pedals. wish i didnt.
it does not like to be in the 51t now, is that because i made the chain too short or is it the nature of the 40-51 lifestyle? it may also need a cleaning.

What dangler? Set the b-gap and chain length according to the dangler and report back.

Got tired of the D-ring screws on the Silver 2 shifters coming loose and messing up my friction shifting experience, replaced them recently with some leftover disc brake rotor screws that already had thread lock on them. Finally rode that bike today, they held adjustment no problem, and it’s fun having disc brake parts on the Riv.

no it actually improved now that im using a crankset that fits proper.
i thought i did that but i’ll dbl check and report back.
Also, kmc chains suck for 12s.
I was almost a jackass a couple weeks ago and tried to opt out of buying a 1988 peugeot triathlon, but the guy offered to throw in another bike for free
planning to keep purple bike to throw in my truck, for riding around campus and for lunch at work. neighbor will probably end up with the raleigh.

Got some new seals for my grey fork. Doh. Uppers are munted, the bushes too I think. Now I’m gonna try and put the lock-out from the grey fork into the carbon fork. Unfortunately both times I’ve messed with a motion control unit they have broken in two. The one in the carbon fork was one of them, which is why I’ve been using the grey fork. I want a working lockout. I guess we’ll see if I manage to fuck it up again.
