They are ugly, but they work.
You know what else works and is ugly? A regular-ass mountain bike. Those fenders would look fine on a regular-ass mountain bike.
Clearly a Stooge owner prioritizes looking cool. I’m fine with that and I would be happy to ride a cool looking Stooge. Those fenders are a disservice to that frame.
i like em, its my lil dirt bike. also the fenders dont fit on my regular ass mountain bike. also the regular ass bike also doesnt have a big frame bag which is necessary for bringing food, clothes, lights etc for 7+ hour winter off road rides. also I ride this bike more than my normal ass mtn bike bc it’s more fun
edit again: ok wait this sounds really aggressive the fenders are a bit ugly but it’s actually a really functional bike even if it’s teetering on the edge of becoming the next influencer show off brand
do you have both a normal ass mtb and regular ass mtb?
I think those fenders look fine on a Stooge, seems common use for a bike from muddy terrain England
I would totes try to mold that rear fender to the tire radius. Can it be heated and bent?
With enough heat everything can be bent
It’s kinda disappointing that GASGAS’s eMTBs don’t come with them stock.
Cut the brand new brake housing to length with the brand new brake cable in it, and I have no more road brake cable on hand.
Fortunately I’m not masochist enough to want to ride recreationally outside right now, but I’m still pissed at myself.
Lol I’m sorry to laugh but that is funny. That’s the kind of thing I would do too.
I’ve done that before, and felt just as stupid/ aggravated.
Me, I’m just having a laugh bc I’m jealous of your cool bike
I ran some Sram isis spline cranks on my main bike for like two years so I am in no position to judge anyone
also have done this before
I’ve done it before too, but I think it’s been about 20 years since the last time. It was a combo of short front cable and long universal length housing, and getting distracted in the middle of it.
Also, it was the fancy Growtac cable set, and while I rationally know that a brake cable is a brake cable, I still feel like I fucked up with a fancy Japanese brake cable.
Disaster and shame
I put a Corner Bar on my P29er because I’m basically using it as a gravel bike now. Pretty good but it needs to be higher. I’ve never purchased a boner stem, but that doesn’t mean I won’t find one in my bike mess.
Bar was way too low. Found TWO adjustable angle stems in the bin and will use them to figure out where I need to be. It’s a very busy bar.
