good to know. thanks!
aluminum chainring bolts

+1
also the park chainring bolt spanner. Piece of shit is no better than using a nickel. I use it as an ink scoop for screen printing now because it works better for that than for it’s designed purpose.
basically I find anything associated with chainring bolts to be a huge pain in the ass.

chainring bolts really aren’t the pinnacle of design, are they?
also
Any Spin Doctor tools and Soma Everwear tires.
stock Hour pedals
Sora groupset and Formula hubs.

Hmm, a front one works for me (2? years). Light, solid, still shiny.
oury grips…
coda compact crankset/ shallow spline octalink road BB - I separated one from the other in 30 minutes of riding. Possibly user error, tho.

what is there not to like about formulas?
i had some of those errebi double straps that just plain fell apart in their first winter
+1 on the san marco ponza, or -1, or whatever, i got one a used one for dirt cheap, but it sucks ass.
fuck yes. errebi doubles got eaten by my mks sylvann tracks. i got so pissed and seriously just wanted to like breakdown as to how frustrated they made me. especially paying 70ish bucks for them.
What is this $3 light you people speak of?
cloth bartape
STX rear derailers. look good but every one I’ve ever seen is worn out.
Any cheapo front derailer (Falcon, etc.) makes me appreciate even a Sora.
The Nitto promenade bar. classy looking, but horribly uncomfortable.
The Brooks with the springs. expensive. heavy. shitty.
Why do you say this? I was thinking about getting those because I want to use a QR front wheel on my lockup bike and I prefer to lock the rear wheel and my rear wheel already uses hex bolts.
The front worked OK I suppose, but you never get the torque you really need to tighten down the rear in horizontal dropouts. I ran some on my Cross Check for approximately 30 miles or so and the rear slipped at least 3 times. On the bright side, they did fit nicely in the garbage can after that.
They also look pretty cheap when installed on the bike, but that’s neither here nor there.
Nylon straps
Pearl Izumi Micorosensor Facemask
sora/tiagra equipped fuji aloha.
my first BMX bike like 15 years ago was a royce union from boscovs and the plastic coated steel pegs screwed into the upper part of the fork, not on the axle.
this. although mine have more the consistency of cardboard.

the directions say in bold print, do not use with mks sylvans. they still suck. but putting them in sylvans just makes it your own stupid mistake. last a month or two.
i fucking love cloth bar tape. makes my bars look SLIM.
Someone said Formula hubs? What a jackass.
For me it’s gotta be a little Trek branded pump that I carried around Europe. Biggest headache ever. It only got my tires up to around 60 PSI, too.
lol, it was blicks
