I’m going to agree on the soma everwear tires, mine cracked within two weeks. Heavy, not grippy, and not quality. Avoid them.
any and all dimension products.
I like the Deda bar tape too. It’s all sorts of good.
Cheap tire levers and shitty planet bike headlights are all that’s on my list. I guess I’ve had good luck with evetything else.
Oh! I did have a Mavic cyclocomputer that never worked, no matter where I placed the magnet/sensor. I never read anything at all.
BLT Ultra Wazoo DX. It’s a rear blinky that is nice and broght but really expensive ($40). This would be fine if it didn’t break really quickly under normal commuter use—i went through two before wising up. I love the $15 Superflashes from MEC!
Plastic chain guards that come on most bikes.
older gripshift stuff (I’ve crumbled so many of those in my hands)
…
and the cheap and dangerous plastic tire levers that break even on tires that arent very tight
these are the only ones i use and will ever use.
they dont mess up the rim and i’ve gotten many many steel beaded dh tires on maybe 1 or two times i’ve had a little trouble with them, never had problems with any road.
maybe i use nicer plastic ones but they’re amazing…
the black ones that come in a red sleeve? or the park ones?

You rode a century? No offense dude, but you don’t strike me as the type to go out and ride a century.
yeah. i rode the hotter n’ hell hundred in wichita falls, tx.
i did the full 106 miles on my single speed madison back in august.
in 116 degree heat.
this coming august i will do the metric century fixed.
Suzue Jr., years ago when I was young and naive. I stripped two of them before I realized they were basically made of butter.
I love Deda bartape!
Anyway, I still want someone to explain to me what’s wrong with aluminum handlebars. That’s like the worst part you’ve ever used being “pedals” or “wheels,” or any other ubiquitous component like that.
I really like Deda bartape, too. I’ve been using it for almost two years and have never had any issue with it. I decided to try Fizik Microtex on my last re-wrap. It’s OK, but I’m pretty sure I’ll be going back to Deda. I think I’m just used to it at this point.
Anyone ever use Silva singles? I never really see any reviews on them.
Cinelli bar tape.
that fizik shit is so thin.
i don’t care much for it.
had it on my cannondale.
Works for me.

im telling y’all steel core soma levers. will not break or fuck anything up
pedros levers work good.
plus you can get them in pink or lime green to match your veeps!

Tacx
Edit: my shittiest parts: tie between cranks with the chainring pressed on at the centre (both parts Al, guess whether it developed play) and some old quill stem that broke at the headset while just riding along.
Those Tacx levers are good.
Tacx MiniMax chaintools, on the other hand, are complete, total and utter bullshit.
my nashbar gloves disintegrated after a few months of use
My worst part ever was a set of old haro 3-piece cranks that I used to run on a conversion. They used to be part of a really rad drivetrain on a bike I loved, but the setup was a lot of upkeep:

how could this possibly work?
