Winter Bicycles

You missed 1 question above.

i have a friend who plays this

are you from the euge originally?

The Dwarf Fortress question? I thought you were asking Toastycat. No- never have been much of a video/ computer game guy.

I’m originally from NH. Came West for college- Portland, Seattle, SLC then back to Oregon.

I just want to say that you guys are awesome- thanks for being interested and engaged in the thread/ bikes. Now don’t let that go to your heads…

New Hampster? Where?

Laconia- where I come from “biker” means something else.

Couple things:

This is tarck, there is no other forum on the Internet quite so rife with intense bike geekery. The crowd is younger, smarter, and less well-heeled than you might find on VS or Serotta Forums. Mostly, we make fun of people that do stupid shit, including riding track bikes on the street. Various folks here generally ride and race every kind of bike there is. Generally speaking, well-sorted rando bikes get more love than tarck bikes, but that’s not universally the case.

Hi, Eric. Your bikes look very nice.

welcome, man. I’m a big fan of your stuff. real interested in a frame.

We’re also poorer. I can think of like… five (?) people who have actually ordered custom-for-them frames (and a few others who have begun building in the last year or so).

So you might not drum up a lot of business from us, but you’ve made some pretty awesome contributions so far.

And I’m fairly sure VS doesn’t have a dedicated Magic: The Gathering thread, so you can always stick around for that.

I’ve never bothered sign up at serrota forums… is it lame? or worth browsing…

I’m not going to stop people from sending in orders, but that’s not why I cruise forums. I like the interaction and general geekery- different forums have different flavors and I try to visit a few of them (including VSalon and Serotta).

If any of you guys are going to be in Portland on October 9/10 we are putting on the Oregon Handmade Bicycle Show. If you are so inclined we are trading tickets for a little volunteer time. It’s always fun to meet internet names in real life events.

Classifieds are good. Everything else is meh.

I’ve never read anything other than the classifieds.

dickiw seems like “hella rad” dude.
