Winter Bicycles

I’ll be at NAHBS- a small group of OBCA members will have a little island of booths (8-10) there. Just booked my room the other day.

I can do a hard tail- email me off list when you are ready.

You think I’m really selfish enough to sue? I get your fears, but if I’m asking a dude I’ve never drank beers with that lives on the wrong coast to build me a bike I’m pretty sure I know the risks involved. So if you ever DO decide to build a hardtail and want a test rider, hit me up. :bear:

If you say you will kiss him on the mouth he will run away, ask me how I know.

Salad arms represent.

so im looking at your flickr and i see a head tube with the TT and DT brazed with different set ups co4 and gasflux vs brazeage and i assume paste flux. i can’t tell the difference…enlighten me please

The differences were minor. I had a sample of the Brazage LFB and flux- lots of folks were asking about a head on comparison and I have a bit more experience with different rods then most builders. I did a head to head with as many combo options as I had sample rod for. It coincided with a small batch of frames so I was able to use the same tubes and angles in a real world repeatable test.

I think I prefer the Gasflux flux slightly (only slightly) but could get used to either rod or flux. At the end of the day I think this demo shows that its about the person pushing fire, not the raw materials. Both are quality rods and fluxes and I think people will be happy with any combo of the two that they get used to.

For the other folks, the photos are here.

I find 29er frames to be ideal for winter commuting… wait, what the fuck?
