Looks great doofo. Do you find yourself using the barends much? It’s never occurred to me to put them on before but I could see myself using them from time to time.
that bike is sick. I kinda wish is snowed more here. I can’t wait to go snowboarding this season!
Oh man oh man oh man a tiny bit of doofo reflection in the photo. So far we know doofo cannot be a vampire because some doofolikeness shows up in the reflection.

P.s. nice lookin bike. I spent the day swapping on my CX tires, changing saddles and gearing up for some much slower practical riding. Pictures soon.
Also,
midwest?
Some where cold and very snowy
We also know what doofo’s supposed hands look like
I’ll only acknowledge the one hand, but will concede there is strong evidence for another.
Doofo, how do those studded tires ride on non-icy pavement?
I’ve been thinking about picking up a pair.
has anyone here used gaiters to keep the road shit out of your boots?
I’ve been trying to locate a pair at the surplus store but haven’t had any luck sofar.
nope. i pass by the capital everyday, but never lock up anywhere near there… i’ve been riding my grey crosscheck w/drop bars, black fenders, platforms, and fixed with… gasp two brakes. basically my cx bike w/diff wheels, gearing, and pedals.

they ride fine - they make a bit of a humming noise, and of course have pretty high rolling resistance, but fine other than that.
43F this morning on my commute. I’m going to have to get some knee warmers or something.
20F on my ride this morning. All I had were half-finger gloves. Suuuucked. Ran to the LBS and picked up some full-finger gloves for the ride home!
That would indeed suuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
At work today I got sent out and forgot my over-gloves in the office and I didn’t want to go back in and get em so I just did the run in half-finger licra bike gloves. It suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked.
Just got my winter knobbies today.
The snow is fucking coming down.
We’re supposed to gain six inches tonight.
When I’m not locked up outside, I hang all my essentials (gloves, lock, helmet) on my bike so I can’t accidentally leave without them.

Nice. It was a blast riding home last night in the fresh powder. This morning wasn’t as great though, as all the car ruts made tracking a sonuvabitch with my 25’s. Still like having skinny tires most days though, so they’ll stay.
Kinda wish I had wider fenders though. My narrow road cascadias work great for rain, but let a good amount of snow fly back on my shins and shoes.
add a mudflap.
I’m in the same boat.
My sks fenders still spray my feet it sucks.
My cascadias have flaps. It’s actually coming out the side of the fender above the flap and getting on me. It only happens when I go through a good half-inch of snow or more, though.
duct tape or the shit they make campaign signs out of works for mud flaps.
also, what ever it is doing outside needs to stop.
