We got into shredded newspaper cause we already had a paper shredder, the cats like it and we love it.
Weāve got a little calico who wanders the neighborhood and the amount of poop that that little cat leaves in our yard is staggering so I can only imagine a big cat would be hard to keep up with!
A year ago I found a starter weight set on the side of the road near my job, took me a few trips but I carried the 295lbs of weights, a barbell, and a plate stand down into my workās basement. I finally started ferrying all those weights home a few weeks ago. Hereās the barbell and a few small plates. The first trip I did was 135lbs and SO stupid, I couldnāt balance it evenly side to side and it was just a miserable shimmy home, been doing smaller trips since then.
Oh dang, new VO frame dropped and I didnāt know about it. Itās that secret.
shit I forgot it was secrety
What was secrety? Huh?
fortunately it takes a whole screwdriver to get at bosch rack type batteries. see also: thousands of keyed alike abus u locks
we have 3 cats. one maine coone/maine coone derivative (big boi at like 17 lbs but not overweight), a tabby that isnāt far behind him and a we little street cat lady. if i am on top of things we go through about 80 lbs a month
Hey @Bootus, how are those utility panniers holding up? None of the local dealers have them in stock, and Iām dragging my feet on ordering them without first seeing one in-person.
Mine havenāt gotten a lot heavy use, but so far so good. Mostly Iām carrying bulky stuff in the panniers except for the odd grocery store or Costco run. The last Costco run filled them to capacity and they handled that just fine. The four straps on each bag (two horizontal at each end and the two vertical under the flap) have done a good job keeping things secure and the vertical straps have been plenty long for what Iāve been carrying.
They are not easy to remove if you need to get at the drivetrain or brakes which is my main complaint. I also have a little concern about how well the little Velcro straps will hold up that secure it to the rack on the back side if they get taken off a lot. The Velcro straps on my utility tray bag are already feeling a little worn out.
They showed a new pannier at Eurobike last year that look interesting. Theyāre at 13:05 in this video or click the chapter for that time.
I gotta get a photo of school drop off. We had like 8 cargo bikes last week
45lb dog on a crust clydesdale fork would be sketchy, right? itād have to have a pretty big basket.
iāve done it with the giant wald basket on a crust fork. itās not great⦠unless your dog stands very very still and doesnāt shift their weight much
That looks silly
Let me know how it rides
the big issue for us is getting a bike that will fit in current garage with the Honda Fit. I donāt have a lot of options for shorter wheelbase front-loader.
The other option is to just upgrade the ebike to something more powerful to haul the trailer that we already have, but then thatās got its own issues.
I can definitely feel it when Clemmy moves around in the box on the Bullitt and sheās only 30 atm. Iād imagine that a squirmy 45 pounder on a fork mounted rack would be real disconcerting.
