Meanwhile, in Chicago, they’re busy ripping out all the PBLs they’ve installed in the last five years.
I don’t want any of y’all to take this the wrong way but it makes me feel a little bit better about the biking situation in Austin/Texas when I see that the struggle is just as real in Real Cities like Chicago, NYC, Toronto etc
NYC congestion pricing shit is giving me life rn
like do yourself a favor and map this out and then just imagine a person that complains about getting charged to drive as far as this could possibly be. hilarious and completely insane
why would you even WANT to drive 18 blocks and park again? how could that possibly be desirable in any situation?
Ask your father in law.
Trying to find parking would take longer than driving 18 blocks

The comments are entertaining.
to his MINIMAL credit my father in law actually does walk quite a bit, so even he’s not stupid enough to drive 18 blocks
ok somehow extra hilarious he thinks because he’s like one street outside the zone he’s somehow this aggrieved citizen who can’t possibly be having a negative affect on his community
Can someone please screenshot the xitter (pronounced “shitter”) comments?
This is like screenshotting FB marketplace for folks without FB
yes i can’t see the twitter comments either because i don’t have an account anymore
Which comments would you prefer:
the NYers who are like “dude, just walk 18 blocks”
or the ones who are like “Whelp, New York doesn’t care about our freedoms so I’ll never move there!”
This is the Andrew who was interviewed…
Honestly I’m surprised nobody has written anything funny yet
I like it when both sides fight for a week or two then forget what they’re fighting about
in my head this is pronounced with the Norwegian ‘kj’ sound, palatalised and aspirated I think?
On another note, since folks on here had talked about their school admin having car-centered reactions concerns about student safety near schools (telling kids to be careful, etc…).
A kid near my school was hit by a driver while they were riding to school. The message the principal sent out to the community said nothing about kids being careful and focused entirely on drivers paying attention, not using their phones, obeying all signs and keeping to the reduced speed limit during arrival/release hours.
I thought it was pretty cool.
No bikes allowed, so it’s clearly space meant for a giant truck.
Clearly.
