I’m not super familiar with the area but I’ve heard great things about Glen Park.
Where you at Lurkey?
Port Jervis has some good trails right out of town. Dunno if they’re dh bike worthy but definitely Sentinel worthy.
This was my number one idea! Been wanting to see them for a while. Looks to be about 90 minutes to bike parks from there vs 45 to Jervis.
Plus Port Jervis has the best pumptrack I’ve ever ridden!
Jim Thorpe, PA has lots of trails.
I’m in Harrisburg. I usually do trail rides in Michaux and do park days at blue and mountain creek.
Wish I had a bike for it!
Generally speaking, any time someone is that obsessive about something, I am curious to know more.
I would absolutely love to do megavalanche but only if it was me and a few friends and not me and 400 strangers. Ripping ass and falling down on snow making my way into some italian villa and shit seems like at least a few types of fun.
We were going to do a mass-start like Megavalanche at the top of Palmer glacier a few years ago. Then we had an early September storm that dumped about 12" of snow on about 70% of the course, so it was cancelled.
yeah i wouldn’t want to do this in front of a bunch of strangers either
I would. Less embarrassing in front of strangers, I never have to see them again.
This is pretty rad.
Was going to say odd to see him on the old bike, but I bet new Gambler is 29er only.
The term gets overused, but that really did feel epic! They saw a great opportunity to film and took it, among so many MTB videos where they’re searching out “new terrain” or “massive features”, this video really stands out.
Says it was filmed in May 2018, would that explain it?
Ah, yes, it would. But most of the free ride crowd still like the smaller wheel size.
