Big bike big stunts! Had a great day up at Mountain Creek. I finally had enough courage to do the cabin drop. I’m starting to feel super comfortable on the furious.I cant wait to go back.
hell yea that’s fuckin wild
Here’s another angle to show the size of the drop(not me). Its definitely the biggest thing I’ve done
Unfortunately my buddy Jake took a bad fall towards the end of the day. He overshot one of the big tables on the bottom of crap chute and landed flat, nose down. Luckily he was able to ride off the mountain with only a concussion and some sore ribs.
Ooof. all nose down stuff scares me now for obvious reasons.
You look pretty comfy on the big bike.
Good job, helmet.
@amy is this what u bought???
No. I just ordered one of the normal honzo steel frames. https://www.konaworld.com/honzo_st_frame.cfm
63 HTA is 2 much 4 me.
i just saw it on pb and it is yuge
Oh yeah, it looks rad, but I’ll use my squishy bike for getting extra shreddy.
they don’t measure their hardtails sagged
still a lot, and also underestimates the real reach and STA
Yeah with that big fork, sag is going to mean the STA is…79º? I can’t imagine pedaling that around except entirely uphill.
I bet that thing is fun, though.
Why ST and not the DL? (just curious)
The realness of the material?
Not concerned about weight and would rather have a little more vibration dampening.
Plus much more aesthetically pleasing…
I’d looooove to testride the new Honzo ESD. It would probably be sooooo much fun on all the trails around me.
Since it does pressed in hs-cups you could always throw some -1 or -2 ones in there if you’d want to slacken it out @amy.
HY I gotta get a season pass next year. Crazy that such a good park is so close to NYC.
If i was a little closer I’d do that too. I have a 3 hour drive so I usually drive up and camp the night before.
Only like 90 minutes from where I sit. If not for COVID I’d have been going a lot this year. All my mtb buddies are frequent fliers.
Finn is fucking crushing it.
I would really hope for his sake he could get a World Cup this year.
I bought a used mtb a few weeks ago and the KS Lev si that came on it totally collapsed on the third ride. It was creeky as shit and the saddle clamp had a lot of wiggle leading up to losing air but other than that it worked ok
I’m looking to snag a new post but am trying to keep it around ~200 millibongs. Looking most closely at the oneup v2 based on a few reviews but are there any others worth considering? Need 30.9 and at least 150mm travel
My assumption with derp posts is probably best to buy new from authorized dealers to get the warranty but maybe failure isn’t as common as I think
