I was on a ride with two dudes on Cush Core that managed to break rims on the same run. I just had Double Down casings without any issues, but I also didn’t gap onto a root or rock.
i mean, shouldn’t it kind of work like tokens and change the “suspension” a bit by lowering the actual air volume? i’ve never fucked with tokens and don’t know how much you wanna change your pressure though
The insert supports the sidewall so you can run a lower tire pressure, letting the tread deform more for traction. I think in practice, most people take the pressure lower than they should.
40 psi on a mountain bike is ridiculous lol

I imagine a lot of people also use their pump gauge to set psi and it’s wildly wrong. I used up set up tire pressure by feel and turns out what felt right to me was absurdly low. I got a better pump and was using that gauge, but then I used a standalone gauge and found I was still getting about 1.5-2 psi less than I thought. So now I just pump to 21/23 ish on the gauge and hope that’s roughly 19/21 cuz I am too lazy to always use a standalone gauge.
I want to see the grim donut with a trust fork on it. Its the perfect application.

Closing day at the bike park today. Turned out to be a breezy 40 degrees, big drop in temp from recent days. We weren’t ready for that. Did a couple chilly laps and called it a day.
Kind of a boring ending to the season, but I’m still in one piece, so I’ll take it.

This DH course is looking miserable. Rain all over and snow maybe at the top. I see three women in the same shot, rear tire not even moving because of mud.
Sucks that Vali Holl injured herself in practice.

I don’t like the production. It is just like spoilers all over the place where if they show you part of the track they didn’t for the previous person doesn’t bode well for that current rider.
The way they are still hucking that last 10m gap is frightening given how little speed many of them have.
