How tall of a fellow are you, again? 6’1"? Might be too big for me. Or perfect.

Separate internal pockets for pressure gauge, shock pump, multi tool, tire levers, etc… Knee pads, hip pack, gloves loose inside. External pockets for chain lube, stanchion snake oil, and that kind of dirtier stuff. Big external zip pocket for eye things.
It think it depends. Def bigger than your current bikes.
It is peppy AF, but I kinda feel it is a bit long for what I want to do. Cruises the trails like whoa, I just can’t huck it around as much as I think I am capable of/can do to other bikes.
Huh yeah, sounds like a Transition lol
Talk me out of a Starling Beady Little Eye. I mean it’s expensive. I really want one. I think it would make challenging trails even harder. but I like the idea
FWIW- as I still get used to the upright-ness of my Murmur…I do like my Murmur a lot.
sell another bike first?
I’ve never successfully convinced anyone to not buy something they want. Money and space are my personal limitations. Decide what yours are, if there aren’t limits then buy it. If there are, either move on or make changes to make it happen.
Ordered a Troy Lee A3 and Giro Switchblade (and Fox Speedframe Pro, but that felt really bad on my head) as a not-full-face helmet option since I mostly use a 100% brand enduro full face helmet while riding and wanted a half shell option.
The Troy Lee feels better.
The long sides on the Giro feel very safe and it definitely doesn’t feel bad on my head. Also would be nice to have a demountable full face for plane trips or times when I don’t know what I might need.
I can’t decide which to keep!!
Leaning toward keeping both because I’m an adult damn it.
I mean, they are totally different helmets, so if you can afford it, it is worth it. Nicer full face when you wan’t need, or good for cooler days when it might still get a bit gnarly. Then warmer days you aren’t going full send the Troy Lee can be good.
Both sale models so just a little more than 1 switchblade at msrp. Seems easier than having to choose!
It wasn’t a good day for flats at Cold Creek today.
On my first lap today, I had a guy ask me for a tube. He was on a 26 and all I had was a 29. I ended up passing him on his walk back starting on my second lap.
In almost the same spot, I encountered another guy with a flat. This time he was tubeless, but his pack didn’t have his tire bacon and the tire beads had come off. After he misfired with his CO2, I gave him my inflater. The tire seated so we could find the puncture. It took two plugs, but it seemed like it was holding air. I left him to ride the road back to the parking lot and went on my second lap.
I later spotted guy #2 walking his bike. I guess the tire lost too much sealant or something? Oh well. 0/2 on helping with flats today and I’m down a CO2 and two plugs.
Finally rode my mtb after refreshing the suspension like 6 weeks ago. Now my rear tire isn’t holding air for more than a couple of hours lol. Suspension feels good, though I need to dial the fork in (wow it doesn’t blast through its travel on any medium-large hit?). Who has that shockwiz?!
Also messed up the cheap soft threads on my amazon dot com “gold” valve stem with my lezyne thread-on pump.
i have the wiz, do you want it? I’m done with it
Yes if possible/allowed.
@oogens can i pass the wiz along?
Took rear wheel off and slowly rotated it into some water. Didn’t see any leaks from tire or valve. Got some water inside the rim tho so just decided to tear it open. New tape, fresh sealant, old valve (because I don’t have a new one on hand). Inflated it with one hand using floor pump.
Getting to bed right now I look at the bike and the rear is flat. What the eff. I mean it is probably this but still:
To add insult to injury, I think I just needed to add more sealant since it was completely dry inside when I opened it up. It’s not always the tape folks.
Tire insert update:
Oh yeah I meant to send a message your way, you can send it back to me, I want to check up on my settings and see if it has any suggestions
This is such a great series and fuck I love Ben so much, not to spoil much but I felt those tears…<3
For those keeping score: I inflated my flat tire last night, fiddled with the valve core and stem and sloshed the sealant around some more. Woke up and tire had air. Did a whole ride. Seems fine. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
