Those rocks were atrocious for the women now that the rain stopped. Like many probably thought there was a chance to get their dry lines in, but nope. And first three men further proving that. Damn sweaty rocks.
edit: like 5 dudes in, mostly crashes or flats. Now the rain starts again.

I was surprised at the number of flats in the semi finals. Seemed like half of the riders wrecked a tire.

not sure if I’d rather be at Windham or one of the ORDA mountains at this point! ORDA is not really great at running ski areas either although seem better than even ten years ago

That sucks about the bike park. I know the bike parks here don’t make a ton of cash, but they seem to have no problem keeping the resorts busy with summer activities at the bigger parks here. Alpine slide, mini golf, and other shit seem to bring in lots of normies.
Man i thought CO resorts were out of their minds with prices, but that’s rough. $699 for a week day only pass?!
They haven’t given a shit about the bike park in years. I assume there was a management change since they were hosting world cups. The place has so much potential for bikes and they barely do anything with it. We have way more time when there’s no snow than when there is even the possibility to make snow. No imagination atmo.
Bike parks in the east are a real rough business. I mean, nowhere do they do the money of ski season, but that’s because they charge dumby prices for ski and can accommodate more people per day. Still seems dumb for re-brand to nix it. Ain’t shit else really drawing people to Windham in the summer.

That was amazing. As always, I liked watching Brendog’s run the most and the judges did not, but I think what I like to see and what the competition actually is are two different things.

I was really hoping he’d do a second run.
Can’t blame him, but I thought he felt like he could add a little to it. Still wouldn’t have won, but worthy to be there in top 5.
Also super stoked for Bellingham local kid Talus Turk laying down a real heater after his mechanical first run.
Kiddo watch some runs with me then I’ll pretended to run ride his bike around jumping off stuff and crashing.
I thought the scoring was a bit more balanced this year where they actually rewarded a high risk big mountain run vs the pure slopestylers. Brendon getting a better score than Emil was a good indicator i think.
I’m not sure Cam’s run was worth a 95, but it was pretty decent.
Still too many of these guys with a basically fully manicured run top to bottom.
I think with Gee out and Clemens having issues on both runs, it still ended up really slopestyley. I think those two would have helped round things out to be a little more freeridey.
