Electronic disturbance - car remote not working?

The remote control on your vehicle’s locking system may be affected at the Pinnacle. This is due to the receiver in your vehicle not working where the signals from the FM radio and TV transmitters are very strong. The transmissions do not pose any danger to humans or animals. If your remote does not unlock your vehicle, try:

  • repeatedly pushing the unlock button while holding the key remote near the bottom of the windscreen and window on the driver’s side
  • holding the key remote behind the wheel in the front right wheel arch whilst pushing the unlock button
  • opening the door manually with the key

If your vehicle fails to start, the anti-theft electronics have not been disarmed. Try holding the key remote close to the dashboard whilst pushing the unlock button. Often, holding the remote under the dash above the driver’s left knee will produce results.

If you have a metallic windscreen shield or sunshade, try putting it up to help deflect interfering radio waves away from the receiver. If your vehicle still won’t start, try moving your vehicle a few metres as radio fields change very quickly along the ground and you may land in a weak spot (Caution! You don’t have full braking ability without the engine running.)

Why though? Bunch of radio antennas or something?

Google tells me it’s a popular hike/ride but nothing else.

Yep. My parents got stuck up there with a hire car which wouldn’t run because its immobiliser was having a freakout ~10 years ago.

Someone should do a test of the SRAM AXS and wireless Di2.

How about we revive the XC Eliminator MTB race format, but combine it with Track Match Sprint races by using SRAM AXS technology

In “AXSess Eliminator presented by SRAM” there are two racers on a short punchy mtb course, who each have their wireless shifter paired to the other rider’s derailleur

eliminator was the worst race format the UCI has ever created

What if they did it with XCC, but used pads with random power ups?

One could be swapping shifters with an opponent. Another could be one that locks their gearing into the current position for 30 seconds.

What sort of boosts does Zwift have?

the burrito which eliminates everyone else’s draft could be fun

I just want more 4X that’s real fun to watch

When it was kinda 4x but flatter and xc with tech a few years ago, it was kinda fun. Now that they made it some urban xc thing, it really sucks.

Watching us open wrap up. Crazy how even the pros find east coast style trails sketchy. High risk low reward is what it feels like lol.
